Letter reads:
"I have sent you [illegible] of 23 with samples. One of them is a nice harbour, and I will be glad to share your quantity. It must [illegible] however, be of a smaller size than sample [illegible]. I return the sample of the thick paper, I do not care for it."
This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this letter.
