About MePostcard with a sepia photograph of Beveridge Park, Kirckaldy, printed on the front, posted by James McBey on 16 September 1904. It is addressed to his grandmother Mary Gillespie, who lived with McBey, along with his mother Ann, at 42 Union Grove, Aberdeen, during his early career.

The note from McBey reads, "Will arrive about 8.40 to-morrow (Saturday).

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this postcard.
