About MeRound jade charm owned by James McBey with an accompanying diagram drawn by McBey. This diagram has a note on the reverse which reads;

"I left my little jade charm hanging on the hot water tap in the bathroom. Would you put it in a little box with some cotton wool so it will not break and post it to me registered. Love James."

The diagram itself depicts James McBey's bathroom and an almost life size drawing of the charm, where an arrow points to its exact location within the room.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this charm.
