About MeCutting from the New York Herald Tribune, dated 16 March 1930 with article, "He Rode with Allenby's Crusaders" by American writer, broadcaster and traveller, Lowell Thomas. Thomas famously filmed T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), showing the footage to audiences worldwide, yielding mixed feelings from Lawrence. The article continued on a page further through the newspaper, which is also included.

The cutting is kept within a portfolio of articles and cuttings that belonged to James McBey, which he kept because they were of interest.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this newspaper cutting.
