About MeCutting from the New York Times, dated Sunday 4 January 1925, with an article detailing the most representative examples of British portrait painting, as chosen by "Sargent." The works were then lent for exhibition at the Grand Central Art Galleries from 10 January 1925. Among the work chosen was James McBey's portrait of "Sir Harry Lauder", and an image of this is included in the article.

The cutting is kept within a portfolio of articles and cuttings that belonged to James McBey, which he kept because they were of interest.

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this newspaper cutting.
