About MeHandwritten letter from Robin John, Assistant Keeper of the Department of Art at the Imperial War Museum to Marguerite McBey, dated 9th January 1976. The letter reads;

"Dear Mrs McBey,
Herewith the photographs of Lord Rowallan's paintings, which I have now had copied. Many thanks for lending them.
Best wishes,
Robin John."

The letter was kept within an envelope addressed Marguerite McBey, from Lord Rowallan, in an envelope labelled "photographs in Bill Rowallan's possesion."

This object is part of an archive that belonged to Marguerite McBey. As a result of her generosity, Aberdeen Art Gallery holds the largest archive of James McBey's work, including prints, drawings, sketchbooks, oil paintings and memorabilia such as this reproduction.
