About MeThe story attached to these earrings is that they once belonged to one of Queen Victoria's sons, Alfred Duke of Edinburgh, in the form of cufflinks. He stabled his horses at a hotel in Dinnet, Aberdeenshire whilst staying at Balmoral, and lost one of the cufflinks at the hotel. The owner of the hotel, who was the donor's father, eventually found it and sent the coral up to Balmoral. The Duke promptly sent his valet back to Dinnet with the pair of cufflinks with the suggestion that the hotel owner might have them set as jewellery for his wife. This was the donor's mother and they acquired the name "The Duke of Edinburgh Corals".
