About MeIn 1938 a hurricane had all but destroyed the last surviving wooden whaler, the Charles W. Morgan. The Marine Historical Association of Mystic, Connecticut, salvaged it and towed it to berth in the Mystic River where James McBey sketched it. Using these sketches on his return to New York he created this etching of the subject.
