About MeBeige moss crepe full-length evening dress or hostess gown with three-quarter length sleeves, fitted bodice and full skirt. The dress has been trimmed with cherry machine embroidered decoration. The dress was sold by Watt & Grant Ltd. of Aberdeen during the late 1940s. It features many of the characteristics of fashion from that period such as the bloused bodice with raised waistline and puffed sleeves. The crepe is a perfect fabric for draping as it has a soft fluidity that lends itself well to this style of dress.
