About MeA receipt acknowledges that a person has received money in payment for a sale or transfer of goods. Hilda Le Fevre was a successful Aberdeen-based hat maker and business woman. Her millinery at 4 Alford Place issued this receipt on the 31st July 1939, just before the outbreak of World War Two. The receipt was given to her sister-in-law following the purchase of a blue satin hat and a felt hat. The total cost was £1.19.11, the equivalent of about £79 today.
