Alexander married Helen Milne, of Fyvie (see ABDMS095669.2), and together they had five children – Alexander, George, who died in Australia; Francis, M.D. professor of medical jurisprudence, and dean of the faculty of medicine in Aberdeen University (also known as Sir Alexander Ogston); Sarah and Helen.
