About Me
This print relates to Sickert's painting 'The Hanging Gardens of Islington'.

The print depicts a woman hanging up washing and the backs of houses and gardens as seen from Regent's Canal close to Noel Street, where Sickert had bought a studio in 1924.

More About Me
Suggestions that Sickert might have been Jack the Ripper, responsible for the Whitechapel Murders in the late 1880s, have largely been dismissed
