About MeThe Aberdeen artist Robert Brough studied at the Royal Scottish Academy where he developed his unique, almost Post Impressionist style; taking inspiration from the French Impressionists and the Glasgow Boys. He also spent time painting in Paris, Brittany and Morocco. His technical brushwork, which contributed to his ability to capture the moment in his works, saw him grow very successful before his early death in a train crash in 1905.This painting was sent as a gift to John R. Greig, before it was finished, with the inscription "Off to Morocco" in 1903.
