About MeSkirt from an olive green cord suit, worn by the donor's mother, Mrs Morrison. It was made up by Farquharson's in Aberdeen from material given to Mrs Morrison by a mill owner friend in Yorkshire. The suit comprises a single breasted jacket fastened with a single tortoiseshell button, matching waistcoat and two straight fitting skirts. Two skirts were provided to be worn in rotation to prevent 'seating'. James Farquharson was one of a number of tailors in Aberdeen who provided bespoke classic tailoring for both ladies and gents in the 1940s and 1950s.
