About MeThis video was made from a 16mm film by Miss N Taggart, the daughter of manager of William Taggart and Son, Allenvale Granite Works. The footage is an exceptionally detailed historical record of the processes found in the granite yards of Aberdeen in 1965. Locations include Rubislaw Quarry, Taggart's yard, a Fraserburgh cemetery and Trinity Cemetery, Aberdeen. The processes and techniques clearly demonstrated include plugging and feathering, sawing, polishing, sandblasting, carving, lettering and the erection of a memorial stone.
