About MeCarte de visite of Urquhart Castle which sits beside Loch Ness, the ruins date from 13th-16th centuries and was partially destroyed in 1692 in order to prevent Jacobite forces using it as a stronghold. On the reverse of the carte is a hand-written date in ink: 1867. no.726 aberdeen
