About MeCarte de visite of Ben Nevis from above Banavie, a small village outside of Fort William in the Highlands. A cluster of houses are visible in the foreground along with a line of trees and a vast open landscape leading up to Ben Nevis. On the reverse side there is a date hand-written in ink: 1870. Also there is a note in pencil: 'Sep 70' and a stamp which reads: 'T. . Stackhouse.' g.w.wilson no.730 aberdeen
