About MeCarved Stone Balls are a peculiarly Scottish product and are of considerable archaeological importance. This Late Neolithic Ball originally came from Fyvie, Aberdeenshire. It was bought by Pitt-Rivers from George Sim, King Street, Aberdeen in 1885. It was purchased by Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums in 1996, with the assistance of the Heritage Lottery Fund, to prevent it being exported out of the country.
