About MeJames Saint was born in Aberdeen in 1820. He was educated at the parish school of Fetteresso and at Meston's Academy, Aberdeen. He was apprenticed to Mr. G. Sutheland, silk mercer, Union Street. After spending a year in Montrose and three years in London, he returned to Aberdeen and began his own business in 1847. His business was one of the most extensive wholesale and retail draper establishments in the north of Scotland. He died in 1890.More About Me
