About MeNot to be confused with the 18th/19th century New Hall Porcelain Works, the Staffordshire New Hall Pottery Company manufactured earthenware goods. This piece is from a range called Boumier Ware, designed by Lucien Boullemier, son of Minton painter Antonin Boullemier. Lucien Boullemier also designed very similar wares for C.T. Maling & Sons of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where he worked around 1926. He moved to New Hall in 1936.
More About Me
Not only was Lucien Boullemier a ceramic artist and painter, but he was also an accomplished footballer! He played over 150 games for Port Vale F.C. before retiring in 1903 to concentrate on his artwork.
