About MeDiamond-shaped medal bearing `old-head' coin portrait of queen on one side and `young-head' portrait on the other; both are within a circle and surrounded by a decorated border; a double suspension loop is fitted to the medal.

This medal was presented to Daniel Mearns, Lord Provost of Aberdeen, on the occasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. It was presented to Aberdeen Art Gallery in accordance with the terms of Mr Mearns' will on 25th November 1925.
