About Me"Trezion" was the name of the home Barbara Hepworth shared with Ben Nicholson whilst they were living in St Ives, Cornwall. Barbara Hepworth designed the fountain in which "Oval Form - Trezion" is placed specifically for Aberdeen Art Gallery, turning what had been an austere marble hall into a welcoming, much less formal space. The asymmetrical placing of the sculpture (which is one of an edition of six) was also directed by Hepworth who in correspondence with the then Director, Charles Carter orchestrated this ambitious and extremely successful art project.
More About Me
"It is easy now to communicate with people through abstraction, and particularly so in sculpture. Since the whole body reacts to its presence, people become themselves a living part of the whole". Dame Barbara Hepworth
