About MeThese gentlemen's cream flannel trousers were probably worn as part of a cricket outfit. They are shown here witha sprts blazer which was sold by Esslemont & Macintosh in 1932. This smart, single-breasted blazer features the monogram ASCCC on the breast pocket, which could be for a local cricket or athletics club. The first blazers were worn in 1889 by members of one of the College Boat Clubs at Cambridge University and have been adopted ever since as part of the formal dress for sportsmen, in order to indicate the club or team to which they belong.
