The kilt, which dates to the early 20th century, is in the traditional style, made of very heavy, slightly rough wool, which is heavily pleated at the back and flat at the front. With the exception of the kilt the rest of the uniform belonged to Major George Morrison who served with the Gordon Highlanders.
