About MeNan Mulder studied painting and printmaking in Amsterdam and Kraków, Poland and English Literature at Edinburgh University. Since 1977 she has lived largely in Scotland although has lectured in the Art Colleges of Glasgow, Belfast, Amsterdam, Groningen and Kathmandu. In Scotland she has pioneered the mezzotint technique, often combining it with intaglio and relief printing, photogravure, chine collé and gold leaf. The resulting prints are often large and technically complex.
