About MeJames McBey was born just outside Aberdeen in Newburgh but he travelled all over the world during his lifetime capturing the countries he visited in his art. Las Banderillas means 'the bullfighters'. McBey has captured the speed of the bull and the matadore with quickly drawn lines. Bullfighting still continues today, it is considered a valuable tradition by some but many consider it to be cruelty to the animals involved for the bull is killed at the end of the fight.
