About MeInscribed "Muslimye N. of Aleppo", this drawing may have been done on the same occasion as the sketch of the railway junction (above). Muslimiyah was a junction of the Baghdad Railway connecting Aleppo with Mosul. On 29 October 1918, the British and Sharifian Arab armies captured the railroad junction from the Ottomans, gaining control over the rail link to Mesopotamia.
