About MeEnamelled badge with pointed upper edge and rounded lower edge.

The centre of the badge is a red enamel figure of St Giles, who is the patron saint of Elgin. St Giles has a Roman lamp at his feet and a blue saltire in the background. Inscribed around the bottom edge "ELGIN SCHOOL OF NURSING"

The Elgin School was a combination of Dr Gray's and Spynie Hospitals, and these badges were awarded to Enrolled Nurses on successful completion of their pupil nurse training.
