About MePair of silver communion cups finely engraved with branches of vines and grapes along with the inscription 'I am the true vine and ye are the branches'. The cups were used to celebrate communion by members of the congregation at Leslie church, the engraving is symbolic of the partaking of wine to commemorate the Last Supper and Christ's death. They were fashioned by an Edinburgh silversmith, James Penman around 1688.
