The lower half of the cover has images of cakes and buns tumbling down the right side and on the left, the words "A Collection of Self-help Recipes". The lower edge is inscribed "PRICE 6d. each. Third Edition".

The booklet contains recipes for cakes, pastries and puddings. A pencil annotation inside the back cover is a recipe for potato crisps.
