About MeWhen the hydrocarbons (oil, gas etc) are extracted from the reservoir and put through the various compression stages in order to extract the unwanted impurties and water this involves putting them under pressure. When something is pressurised to a high level it also increases the temperature. This has to be constantly monitored to maintain a safe level, and also to ensure the process is actually efficient to remove the impurities. This guage monitored the temperature within the pressure vessel.
