About MeThis is the second of three boards painted for the Shipmaster Society, or as it was known at the time, 'The Seamen's Box'. The Society collected dues from masters, mates and sailors which went towards providing money for families of mariners lost at sea or disabled. These boards record the name of major benefactors.
