About MeRavilious made this illustration 'Miss Creed of Little Bardfield' for a Christmas card for the Redfern Gallery.

In his engraved illustrations Ravilious showed a preference for the type of subject matter which was to appear throughout his work, a countryside in which gentle mystery, charm and security are enjoyed by a human populace which he treats like decorative symbols.
