About MeMoray Cup was a popular soft-drink in North-East Scotland that could rival the national soft-drink Irn Bru in its heyday. The bright red-coloured “fruit flavour drink” was manufactured by Sangs, a company founded in Aberdeen in 1896, moving to its last home at premises in Macduff, Aberdeenshire in the 1970s. Moray Cup was a popular accompaniment to fish suppers and playground snacks since the 1960s and was controversially discontinued in 2017 by then owners of the Macduff plant, Cott Beverages.
