About MeBen Gulvain was built at Beverley in Yorkshire in 1965. It was owned by Richard Irvin who had a large fishing fleet based in Aberdeen.
This image shows the trawler with its distinctive black and red funnel almost at the end of the North Breakwater of Aberdeen Harbour on its way out to sea on a calm day in 1968.
