About MeDrawing of front and back view of long evening dress. The dress features a square front yoke with a floral pattern, which extends into plain shoulder panels ending just below the shoulder. The batwing shape of the fabric under the arms falls in folds and the central panel of the dress is gathered under the yoke, creating more folds. The dress fastens at the back of the neck with a tie, leaving a low swagged back vent which is as low as the waist.

The style of the dress and the way the the fabric hangs suggests that it was very likely to have been made of qiana jersey, a favourite fabric of Bill Gibb's for draped fluid gowns.

The design was created for Belgian born, American fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg.
