About MeHollow, convex, oval silver metal sporting medal with decorative scroll loop and ring attached at the top. The outer border of the medal is engraved with a laurel leaf design. The medal also features an engraved inscription 'Champion Medal for Putting Stone 28lb 32ft 1862: Kincardine' and was awarded to Donald Dinnie.

Dinnie was born in Balnacraig near Aboyne, Aberdeenshire in 1837. He turned professional athlete and toured the world at the age of 30, winning over 11,000 competitions and a total of £28,000 in prize-money. He died in 1916 at the age of 79 in poverty.
