About MeSilver gilt chain of office worn by Worthy District Masters of the British Order of Ancient Free Gardeners, which was a friendly society formed for the mutual benefit of members. The badge shows emblems associated with the order, with Noah's ark beneath a rainbow in central place. The dove recalls the Biblical story of how Noah sent a dove to look for dry land. When the bird returned carrying a green twig Noah the Flood was over. The Aberdeen branch of the British Order of Ancient Free Gardeners was dissolved in 1987.
