About MeDesigned by the Australian paediatric surgeon Denis Browne this splint was used in the treatment of Congenital Dislocation of the Hip. The splint held the young child's legs at an extreme angle, the technical term for this is abduction. Holding the patient thus gave the femoral joint the chance to develop healthily.1950s-1970s
