About MeDenis Browne "hobble" splint, for the treatment of clubfoot. The splint was used on children over 3 months old when she or he was able to kick. Foot pieces are removed from cross bar, outer sole piece is padded with orthopaedic felt in such a way as to elevate the outer side of the sole of the foot and produce eversion (turning outward). The child is encouraged to kick and stand and manipulation is generally given weekly.
