About MeThis radio receiver was used from the 1960s to the early 1970s aboard the Sea Quest, the drilling rig that discovered the Montrose and Brent fields in the North Sea. These discoveries marked the beginning of commercial UK oil production. Before the advent of internet links, receivers such as this were the only means that operational platforms had of contacting the outside world.
