About MeOffshore workers by the nature of the job are surrounded by potentailly lethal and invisible gasses. Added to this they often have tto work in confined spaces. Should a gas leak occur the Drager Saver can be quickly put on and so allow the person to tackle the leak or to escape as a last resort. The 3l cylinder of compressed air provides at least 15mins of breathable air, whilst the hood and ozone resistant neck collar adds extra security.
Such equipment is now standard offshore and is often used in conjunction with portable gas monitors to alert workers to a potential gas hazard.
