About MeThe Ancient Noble Order of United Oddfellows Bolton Unity was formed in 1831-1832 from a breakaway from the Grand United order of Oddfellows. This was one of a number of breakaways in the Odfellows movement (much of this seems to have been motivated by lack of autonomy,and democracy). The Bolton Unity was closed in 1962. The Old Aberdeen Lodge was instituted in 1886.
