About MeInternational Marine were headquartered in London and had supplied radio equipment to the likes of the Queen Mary liner in the 1930's. This unit was possibly the original unit on Forties Alpha when it began working in the North Sea in the mid 1970's. It is a comparatively rare model of receiver, and required some skill in operation. By the 1980's radio technology had advanced rendering this unit redundant.
