About MeThe paper dress was a short lived sensation in the sixties and an extreme reaction to the desire for cheap, disposable clothing. The simple 2-D shape was ideal for bold, graphic prints like this pink and orange striped design. The donor made the dress from a ready-to-sew kit which she received free from the magazine 'Petticoat' and wore it once to a disco. Dated to circa 1966.
