About MeThis rectangular brooch is made from iron, fired with different coloured golds, carved and engraved, and set with a star moonstone. The brooch is inspired by a visit the artist made to Hoy, off Orkney. It captures the play of light and shade on the cliff face and illustrates Appleby's enduring love of nature and the landscape.More About Me
This brooch was inspired by a visit to the island of Hoy in Orkney. What features of this piece do you think were the result of this influence?
