About MeThis view of Castle Street on market day features some well known characters of the city including John Milne, the hangman. John Ewen, a silversmith, printer and Seaton's patron, the Rev. Alex Ralcock, Episcopal Minister and Wattie Leith, drummer.

The original painting was raffled at 5 shillings a ticket and John Ewen sold the tickets at his shop in Castle Street.
