General History:
JOLLY NIGHTS was one of two ships built by John Lewis for F. W. Horelock, the other ship was called JOLLY DAYS. The ship had a shorter life than her sister ship that lasted until 1981.
18/02/1935: Builder's certificate issued.
28/06/1937: JOLLY NIGHTS was towed to Harwich, having lost its propeller.
04/03/1963: JOLLY NIGHTS was wrecked on Ardinary Beach, South of Mizen Head whilst on a passage from Dublin to Newport in ballast.
11/02/1964: vessel was refloated for scrapping purposes.
Note: Oil engine 28 C.S.A. 4 cylinder 9 and 13 sixteenths to 16 and three quarters 67hp, British Ruyilares, Glasgow.
