General History:
JOLLY DAYS was one of two cargo ships built by J. Lewis for F. Horlocks Ocean Transport. The other ship was called JOLLY NIGHTS. The ship had a longer life than her sister ship JOLLY NIGHTS, 1935-1962.
05/04/1935: Builder's certificate issued.

Note: Engine by Petters Ltd, Yeovil.
The ship was re-engined between 1950-52 from A. Peters Ltd. Yeovil oil engine 2s C.S.A 4 cylinder 21 and one half to 18 and one half 57rhp to a oil engine 4s C.S.A. 6 cylinder 11 and 7 sixteenths to 16 and 9 sixteenths 82mns Mak Maschinenban Kiel.
In Lloyd's 1971 reg. the ship was re-engined again and lengthened to 170'6". The new engine is an oil 4sa 6 cylinder 300mmx450 570bhp NE62 Masch Augsburg - Nuremburg, Germany.
