Tracey Johnston

Aberdeen, Scotland, born 1970
About MeAn artist specialising in painting and collage, Johnston founded Claremont Gallery in Aberdeen in 2010. Initially a small family run studio-gallery, Claremont expanded to a full programme of both emerging and established artists, as well as creative classes for people of all ages. For the last two decades, Johnston has maintained her own practice and exhibited widely throughout the UK and abroad.

Her unique work is influenced by travel with references to the classical and ancient worlds. She is inspired by history, architecture, the natural world, the human condition and the common language that crosses cultures. Her work appears timeless; set in a realm both ancient and contemporary.
